I enjoyed the birdcage in front of Abraham & Straus at the mall so much - and I read elsewhere that it was emptied of birds in the 70's, sitting vacant, and then eventually removed. Across from the mall
on Route 110 near Dawson Street stood a small shopping center - where I used to frequent Exotics Tropical Fish and next door, Francesco's Pizzeria - with 15 cent slices when they opened the doors.
