Great News..I just received my package of Picture and Video CD's for our reunion from Peter Lori Entertainment ! The 3 CD set is housed in a great looking jacket with a picture of WWHS and the reunion date on the cover. Order your own set from our DJ Company, via Lori Arias at Musicny2001@aol.com. If you could not attend the event, this is a great way to be a part of it and see your classmates in pictures and videos. The fun continues!!
I got my DVD of the event - it's AMAZING!!! I tried to play it in the player attached to my TV and it was jerky and froze up, etc. - I was beside myself, but then we put it into the computer drive, and it played beautifully. I hope if that happens for anyone else, they try cleaning their lenses, etc., and then also try other players. IT WAS LIKE RELIVING THE PARTY, no doubt about it. I just gazed into that screen, watching those faces going by, and being so fond of everybody I could hardly stand it. What a fabulous crowd. Lorraine Janis, you beautiful creature!! Cheryl Madruga Montana - YOU GO GIRLFRIEND, you were just awesome!!! Key Nelson - so when DO you plan on starting to look anywhere over 30 years old?!? Oh, why did I even mention anyone in particular, because it was just beautiful to watch everybody. Rita Amato Tenbroeck... you were singing every word to every song!!! Vinnie Dillon - you dancin' machine!! Same with SO many of you guys - I adored every dancing style I saw. What a party that was. I can hardly wait for the next one!

Katie! My DVD didn't play well on my TV. I talked to Lori at the DJ company. The DVD's are recorded in minus-R format, which will only play right on DVD players that are less than 2 years old. That's why it played well on your computer. If you record that DVD onto a blank plus-R disc-it should play on any DVD -old or new. The reason they use minus-r these days is because they give better quality video. So, load the reunion DVD onto your computer, and then copy it onto a DVD plus-R and you are set to go! GEORGE MASELLI
Vaughn,
Haven't received mine yet either, but I live on the left coast.
I'll let ya know when it rolls out this way.
For now I'm relying on my steel trap, like memory...or was it sieve like.
I guess I need the CD's after all.
Emailed Peter Lori's last week and they told me to contact them if I didn't receive it by yesterday the 8th...so there's a call and an email into them now as I anxiously await....my remainging two brain cells are struggling to keep the weekend in focus.
Photographs say silently what words cannot....and with that note... Ron....I have to say I was blown away with your photography and your website....Panoron.....very impressed...
George, thanks for the clarification - I have to say, it would be really a kindness to everybody to let them know ahead of time that their DVD player needs to be less than 2 yrs. old for the DVD to work!! Truly - not telilng us so is a tad misleading, since they obviously know that's how it is. But anyhoo... your advice that you gleaned from them is invaluable. I am enjoying it on the computer sooooo very much. Paige MacDermott phoned me at 10:30 PM last night in stitches, laughing, enjoying hers so much - SHE had to go out and get a new DVD player, and then it worked perfectly, so your information is borne out. thank you, George -

Everyone--I tried to copy the Original DVD to a plus-r DVD: it didn't work! Butthe originalt still does play in my Laptop. I think the easiest thing to do may be to buy a newer DVD player--make sure it can play Plus-R, and minus-R---practically all the new ones will. GEORGE
I bet they're sending sets out randomly - and I wonder if they're burning
copies one at a time? It might be that those who yell loudest get theirs
first from this point forward....that said, I might call them and politely ask
for ours to be the DVD + R format.....we just bought a CD player that handles
almost every format worldwide as we send & receive DVD's from Russia. Notice
I wrote ALMOST...
Yep, it won't play the new MINUS R format.
Our collective epitaph: Boomers were bombarded with formats. Vinyl 45's
and LPs, reel-to-reel decks, 4-tracks, 8-tracks, 8 track quadraphonic, cassettes, 8mm, Super-8, VHS, BETA, LaserDisc, CDs, DVDs, mp3, LCD, Plasma, satellite radio. They loved new gadgets, or at least, they pretended to, as they
gathered cherished oldies on all new variations of media.
As soon as I get on board there's a new kid in town. Thank the stars for
good old-fashioned kissin' ....same format since Adam & Eve !
Peter Lori's called me back this afternoon. All CD/DVD sets have been shipped and we should have them by saturday. She double checked all address before shipping. If you don't receive by Monday...call them.
I received mine here in Satellite Beach, Florida on 10/04/08- Envelope post marked 10/02/08.
I showed all my friends on 'Franks Reunion Night Party/ Pot Luck Dinner Extravaganza'. We laughed, we sang the old songs, we remembered all our HS days, we ate, we drank, we talked about getting to 3rd base (all of us were too tired to run the bases).Sunshine took off her top (nobody noticed),we partied the night away until 10:30pm and went home.Just like the old days.
Most of us stayed in the next day resting from all the excitement the night before.
I can't wait till the 45th reunion. Go Wildcats!
Jerry,
Thanx for the heads up.
This R Minus and plus thingie has me worried...my Mac is old by industry standards.
I'll just do a wait and see, I suppose.
Thanks for the props btw Stephanie.
hey guys, i talked to lori from peter lori entertainment..the video problem is to do with the format she burns the cd in.....if your dvd player is more than a couple years old it might freeze up (like mine did) what you need is a -R player....don't ask me to explain what -R vs +R means, but apparently the older players can't handle the -R format..........for 20 something bucks (minus my discount) i got a new player at wally world and the disc ran fine!!!!!!!
Vaughn---
I wish I knew what program I'm using to open the DVD. But, thanks for asking.
I'm computer-challenged.
It's a new I Mac is all I know and movies will play on it. You slide the cd or dvd into the side of the monitor...there's no separate cpu or whatever you call the main computer part.
This dvd just rattles around in there and then it won't eject. We had to turn the thing off and wait until morning for it to decide to get out.

Kay, that sounds like a hardware problem for sure. And I know what
you mean - when our computer freezes up we call my teenager Mackenzie
to bail us out...
No Peter Lori stuff showed up today. Maybe tomorrow.
And just FYI there's no mail this Monday.
I received mine also. I am going to take a look now, as Patti Ventura has come over for a visit, and to play Beauty Shop- she will color my hair, as usual. Such low budget fun!! Gotta love saving $50.00 from going to the salons.
Still no discs here. I spoke with Lori today - there are two sets yet to
ship - mine and some other unnamed person. They'll be sent either tomorrow
or Wednesday..... hang in there, they haven't forgotten us.
....any luck yet? None on my end...but Lori said if I don't receieve it today she'll send out another tomorrow morning.
It was a pleasure getting you know you at our Renuion and our walk down the halls of Whitman! I met a number of very nice people who I did not know in high school.
Keep up writing your wonderful memory thoughts....I look forward to reading your words.

Still nothing, but it's early. I don't know why she implied you could receive it
today, when on Monday it had not yet been mailed - unless she sent it out
Tuesday via Postal Express or UPS Next Day Air. Stephanie, she (or someone
else) simply forgot you and me. Period. In this case, it's not crucial, but still
annoying. Folks tend to squirm and say anything just to get
off the phone with dissatisfied customers. She cited 'prior commitments',
but those commitments didn't prevent them from immediately depositing my
check. OK, I'm off the soapbox.
Let's give them until Friday. After that we drop the gloves, LOL.
It was good to meet you, too. Thanks for the friendship.
And well worth the wait. Between the newly posted Yearbook Supplement,
2 picture discs and a video - I'll be up late. Great quality - plays like silk on
the laptop, what resolution!
Hi Vaughn....Never received mine but I spoke with Lori Wednesday night and she was mailing out another one Thursday morning so hopefully.... I should have it by Monday....unless it gets lost in the mail again! Glad to hear it plays smoothly. I noticed a number of people mentioned they had problems with theirs. I'm hoping the DPI of the photos will be great enough to be able to print some of them.
