I just discovered this message board so I just wanted to Hi to everyone and tell you all how sorry I was that I couldn't be there to see old friends and enjoy the fun. As Bobby Greco said, you ' MUST plan on attending the 50th'. I am already looking forward to it. 'Til then I am enjoying the pictures and hope to hear from anyone with whom I've lost touch. (dotoinmo@yahoo.com)
I live in Louisville, KY 5 miles from Pidgn and see her all the time. Our husbands went to high school together. I haven't been back to NY in many years: I don't have family there anymore. But I will plan for 2018 (GOD!...2018!) and hope to hear from friends before then. By the way if anyone makes it out here for the Derby, let me know! We have a guest room! So, a special Hi to Jackie H, Paige, Eileen, Robbie, Andy, Jamie, Howard, Allen M., Sharon Levine, Mary M., Joanne B., Linda deLucia, Linda B., Wendie, Richie and Mike. Take care, Donna
Donna...switching to this 'thread' to reply to your email from the other 'thread'! Hopefully you and Ned can get out here soon...and if Scott doesn't have room we certainly do. I saw him a few months ago but not since...glad he's doing well. MJ and I look forward to seeing you. Jerry

Hi,
What a kind invitation. We may take you up on it when we finally make our way west. We have been promising Scott for so long; we are really over due. I have really been enjoying seeing the faces from HS on this site. What a trip down memory lane. As much as I regret not being there, we were glad to have made the decision to stay here, as Hurricane IKE paid us a rather unexpected visit Sunday 9/14 starting with 1/3 of our 75 yr old tree in the front yard crashing into the house. It woke us up and scared us to death.
Two of Ned's friends are in the tree service biz and by 11AM they were out here rescuing us. Then without rain or warning of any kind winds started picking up to 80mph (no joke) and we lost another tree in the back yard. We watched helplessly as a third crashed on our garage roof. It was very scary. The trees ripped out all of our power and phone lines and we were in the dark for 8 days. As bad as it was and as much as it is going to cost us, it would have been so much worse if we had been in NY and Jenny had been here with a sitter.
Things are getting cleaned up finally and now the wait for contractors, as we have damage to the front of the house and a hole in the garage roof. Not much of Louisville was spared. Pidgn had no power when she returned either. To some extent I can understand how you and Mary Joy felt after the earthquake.
So thanks for getting in touch. For future reference my Email is dotoinmo@yahoo.com Cross your fingers for 'Kath&Kim'. I feel like I'm expecting the birth of a baby! The wait is very nerve wracking. Hi to Mary Joy. Talk with you soon. Donna
Hey Donna,
Great to hear from you. We certainly did miss you at the reunion and your name came up all the time. Hope you'll think of making a trip to CA while I'm out there at Christie's recovering from what I thought was a hairline toe fracture which turned out to be 4 broken metatarsals in my foot. Danced my ass off at the reunion regardless. It was a blast!!!
All the best to you,
Kim

Hey Kim,
So sorry to hear of all your recent troubles. I am glad you are going to CA to recuperate. Pidgn will be a good nurse. I only wish it were an option for me. My son Scott is in LA and I haven't been out to see him in 3 years. Time, $$$ and sitters seem to trump good times lately. We had some storm damage to our house the Sunday of the reunion which we will be paying for for a while, so I will not be joining you. I so enjoyed the pictures of my old buddies. You guys all looked great. You still have that fun twinkle in your eye! Get well soon and have fun. Hopefully another opportunity to get together will come along for all of us. 'til then stay well and stay in touch. Love, Donna
