Nominations are now open for entry into the Walt Whitman Hall of Fame which was founded in 2008 and cuurently has 20 members. The next class will be inducted in late 2012. To honor those alumni who have had a significant impact on their chosen field or in society. These are my first nominations. Harry Waller (1968) a stellar 33 year teaching and coaching career, Jerry Petry (1968) for his extraordinary vision and service to American television in general and NBC in particular and Bill Harkins (1967), Lacrosse Coach at Florida State University where the lacrosse field has been named in his honor.
