I know some of you may have heard about the wildfires going on west of Boulder - Lavinia's house was in the evacuation zone, they have been allowed back up to the house but have been warned to evacuate AGAIN at a moment's notice. She is tired but she is grateful beyond measure for all of the help she has been given - also the firefighters & slurry bombers, etc. Anyway, just wanted to let you all know, she's good as of 11:26 AM mt. time Thurs. Sept. 9, 2010. (photo is of view from the plains, kind of from my house's area)
Sorry, I don't get here often! I believe all is well - her entire neighborhood was spared, slurry bombers made a huge difference, but she is no doubt facing some pretty interesting clean-ups after the power was cut & fridge stuff probably went bad, etc. - but I am absolutely sure I would have heard if anything had gone bad. They did lost 169 houses in her area.
