Ms. Spatafora - bless your heart, I LOVE 'BOOM!' and need to thank you for it, but I am not seeing your information here online!!! Are you still in Huntington Station? PLEASE be in touch so I can thank you properly. I am going to use excerpts here on the website - it's an awesome book. YOU ARE DA MAN!!!! Oh, wait, YOU ARE DA WOOO-MAN!!! Katie K.
OK, FRANCINE, YOU HAVE NOT COME FORTH TO BE THOROUGHLY THANKED, but IF you ever show up here, I am enjoying the book so very much - it's my nighttime reading. I am gonna get some quotes into the newsletter, too. I will admit something: I was totally - I mean TOTALLY - unaware of the political world at the time I was in high school. That was for someone else to worry about - I was busily worrying about having the proper colored Capezio shoes to go with my sweater and knee socks, for heaven's sake!!! This book is truly educating me the way I probably ought to have self-educated at the time, and I appreciate it, even at this late stage of the game! THANKS, GIRL!!
Francine phoned me today - we almost wore our esophaguses out talking for well over an hour - she is still in Huntington Station caring for her 92 year old parents, and she has VERY fond memories of the first couple of reunions, and really wants to get to the next one. I REALLY WANT HER TO GET THERE, TOO. If anyone wants to be in touch with Francine, let me know - at this point, her info isn't public, but I know she would love to hear from you and I would be more than delighted to facilitate!!!
