Body:	<i>Amazing as usual, Vaughn - this kinda shines a spotlight on the fact that our teachers were actually complete PERSONS, with distinct and complicated stories and lives. And I am gonna confess that I never fully viewed them that way while a student - they were there for my purposes and no other... the self-centeredness of youth? I recall some anecdote about a child who, when asked (probably by Art Linkletter or someone) about her grade school teacher, indicated that she presume the teacher lived, slept, ate, breathed and lived AT the school - a life outside of the child's view of the teacher was beyond her. I was a LITTLE bit that way with all my teachers. I have visited Mr. Glorioso at home, and of course my 5th grade teacher Mr. Jankowski, and shall admit that I was somewhat befuddled upon seeing their environment AWAY from the school!
