I got the call Tuesday morning, a call I didn’t want hear. Our friend Ellen Green was gone. As I froze in disbelief, all the memories of her came to me. Flying through my brain were the images of her delivering a punch line, (she called me “Tons of Fun”) a smart-ass come back or a punctuation of a story. She always spoke the truth and you could never bullshit her (she saw right through that). The laughter, (oh how she could make you laugh) the nights at the Bourbon Barrel, the Oak Beech Inn, my 1 st apartment and all the concerts we went to with Margaret, Denise, Prissie, Scott, Garry and me in tow. What a blast! At the 30 th reunion, I spent most of the night with Ellen and can only remember how funny she was. She still had it. I will always cherish that night. That’s how I will remember her always. May you grow up to be righteous, May you grow up to be true, May you always know the truth And see the lights surrounding you. May you always be courageous, Stand upright and be strong, May you stay forever young Bob Dylan
