We have much to be thankful for in the past year, not the least of which is the recent news that our oldest daughter, Lara, will be returning to our home in NC after a year away in New Orleans. 2008 began painfully for our family with the death of my sister Jeanne in January. Today my sister Kerry called, and we traded thoughts on how far we've come in acceptance of our mutual loss. Let 2009 be a time to reflect on our blessings, and to reach out to friends, both old and new. Happy New Year to all of you!</i> *
