Linda what a delightful rambling post... a little trip down memory lane of course... well, we planned the 35th reunion 5 years ago, and I can't hardly believe it myself, but we did it without this incredible website. Just emails from my own personal email account - the first time I broadcast out an email they shut me down, detecting me immediately as a major spammer for sending out, what, 100 emails?!? After that I sent 'em out in chunks of 30 or so. I do remember carbon paper. I used to type transcripts of interviews by private investigators, and yes, I had to correct both original and copy with Wite Out!!!! Ridiculous. No wonder I'm half crazy now. I embrace the continued improvement of computer forms - I work at a law office now and can fill out the majority of forms on the computer. All court filing is done online and it's unbelievably accurate - I don't miss the stamp thing at all. It helps to develop an enjoyment of the new technological advancements. I expect, soon enough, to be kvetching from my rocking chair about HOW IT USED TO BE, but for now, I'm going to make every effort to understand that, it's NOW, and things go forward, and it's all very exciting! Woodstock - I wasn't there, but my brother and I spent that Woodstockian time in our own home, soldering circuits for my Dad, who had invented a brand new device through which you could swipe a credit card and it would evaluate its veracity... Thank you for such a thoughty start to the day! Katie K.
